FILM REVIEW: BanditsBarry Levinson's directorial career, it is reasonable to surmise, has recorded its fair share of highlights and drawbacks. Despite the majesty of both Good Morning Vietnam and Rain Man during the late 1980s, each boasting particularly memorable and amusing respective turns from Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman, Levinson's more recent efforts have faltered in both artistic quality and comedic value. FILM REVIEW: I, RobotThere have been many movies falling into the family sci-fi bracket. More than you could probably count. And even more so, you’d be pressed to disagree, starring the great Will ‘Big Willie’ Smith. Independence Day and Men in Black in particular (both undisputed box office smashes) stand out like cactuses in the middle of the Antarctic. It may perhaps come across as puzzling, then, to see that he has opted to take the much-exhausted route a third time with I, Robot – a film that, though fun and lightweight in parts, often feels closer to death than Isaac Asimov himself.
